Buddy Bear and Buzz the Bee

Bailey Avenue is the home of the Bailey Avenue Bears. "Buddy Bear" is the Bailey Avenue Mascot and Buzz the Bee is the new face of the Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports (PBIS) at Bailey Ave.

This Big Loving Bear with the giant heart is a friend to all of the Bailey Avenue School Family. Buddy Bear attends all of our special activities at Bailey Avenue School. Buddy helps to focus on self esteem.

Buddy helps to provide the students with rewards and incentives at our special monthly gatherings. Buddy is known to lead the students on the "Buddy Bear Parade". This parade leads the students through the school and outside of the building.

At Bailey Avenue our mission is to have success based learners who are excited about school. Buddy Bear helps to make our school special. One cannot help but have a feeling of love as you walk through the home of the Bailey Avenue Bear.

Buzz the Bee usually visits Bailey Avenue when Mrs. Thompson is out so he can check to make sure that all Bailey Avenue Bears are following the 4 B’s and report to her when she gets back to school.

Buddy Bear School Celebrations: Buddy Walk

Throughout the year, we have school wide celebrations. School is truly a celebration at Bailey Avenue School. At this monthly celebration we focus on rewards and incentives. We celebrate all of the wonderful happenings at our school. We sing our School Song. We welcome Buddy Bear. Student awards are given for a wide variety of achievements. Students are able to share any special talents they have. We celebrate as many successes as we possibly can.

At Bailey Avenue we believe that it is so important to celebrate the good things that are happening in our school. We invite parents to these celebrations. The students understand that celebration is an important component of our effective school. The celebrations last approx. 30 minutes.

The celebrations are a hallmark of our school. We are so proud of Bailey Avenue School that we love to spread the good word of our great success. Our Buddy Bear celebrations help to serve this purpose.
