Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK) Registration:

Interested Plattsburgh City School District families who have a child that will qualify to attend our UPK at Bailey Avenue or Momot Elementary next year (2010-11) should contact Mrs. Diane Thompson at 563-2410 Ext. 2009 or Mrs. Mary Louise Lamberti at 563-1140 Ext. 3009 as soon as possible.

Who is eligible for Universal Pre-Kindergarten?
Section 3602-e of Education Law defines an “eligible child” as a child who resides within a UPK participating school district and who is four years of age on or before December 1 or otherwise eligible to attend kindergarten the following year. The child must be a Plattsburgh City School District resident to register.  A child who is age-eligible to attend kindergarten is NOT eligible for the UPK program. Dear Parents,

The faculty and staff welcome your child to the Bailey Avenue/Oak Street Elementary school. We view Bailey/Oak as one K-5 school.

We are fortunate that we have a very special primary component (Kindergarten – Grade 2) at Bailey Ave. and an excellent intermediate component (Grades 3-5) at Oak Street.

We are extremely proud of our school. Parent-school communication is a very important part of our program. Should you have any questions, concerns, needs etc. please contact us.

We will do our very best to keep you informed of the activities and information you will need this year. We hope that you will feel free to visit or call us.

Sincerely,
Diane Thompson - Bailey Ave. Principal
Carrie Zales - Oak St. Principal
