Advocating for Your Child: There are a variety of resources both within the school and outside of school that can help your child to be successful academically, emotionally, and socially. To be able to get your child the help they may need to be successful, it is important that you are aware of the resources that are available.

Resources for High School Course Planning: This will offer you some insight into the resources your students have access to while planning his/her high school career. The documents in this section will help you share in that process and become a resource for planning post high school options for your student.

Identifying Eating Disorders
Information will be offered in this section that provides warning signs and physical consequences of eating disorders. If you suspect that your child has an eating disorder, please contact your school counselor and/or local mental health agencies to get help for your child.

Building Self Esteem in Your Teen
This is a brief list of tips that explain how parents can increase their child’s level of self-esteem at home. Also note that in the student section of the PHS Counseling Department website, there are resources for students on how to build self-esteem.
