- Before leaving the classroom, let your teacher know where you need to go. Go directly there.

- Remember to be safe with your words and physical actions. (Respect other people's feelings and bodies.)
- Walk facing forwards and stay to the right.

- Give people privacy.
- Continue to use your respectful voice.
- Keep the area clean for others.
Responsible:
- Make good decisions about your behavior, even when an adult is not with you.
- Go directly to and from the bathroom. (Someone will be expecting you in class.)
Safe:
- Wash your hands with soap and water. (This prevents you from catching the flu.)
- Report any unsafe behavior to an adult.

- Let anyone sit next to you.
- Use a quiet voice and remember good table manners.
- Be kind to everyone - that's how you make and keep friends!
Responsible:
- Please don't cut in front of others while waiting in line.
- Clean up after your lunch.
- Stay in the cafeteria until you have been dismissed for recess.
- Please bring your lunch money or bagged lunch.
Safe:
- Walk in the cafeteria, even after you have been dismissed!
- Keep all food and belongings to self.
- If you have to leave the cafeteria before being dismissed, please let a monitor know where you are going.

- Be an active listener.... keep eye contact with the speaker and talk to classmates later. Follow directions.
Responsible:
- Arrive at school on time.
- If you find the work hard, ask for help.
- Be honest and admit mistakes.
- Get a good night sleep.
- Eat a healthy breakfast.
- Bring appropriate clothing to school.
- Bring your completed homework back to school.
Safe:
- Get adults help for accidents and spills.
- Keep hands, feet and objects to self.
- Use all equipment and materials appropriately.
- If you need to leave the classroom for any reason, please let your teacher know.

- Include everyone.
- Play fairly - use kind words and actions.
- If you are having a problem, ask a monitor or Oak Street Peace Maker.
Responsible:
- Use the bathroom or visit the nurse before going outside.
- Return sports equipment to the monitor after recess.
- Wear outdoor clothing that is appropriate for the weather (boots, mittens, coat and hat in winter).
Safe:
- Play within boundaries.
- If anyone is hurt or being bullied, report to an adult.
- No play-fighting (many times it turns into a real fight).

Responsible:
- If you have difficulty with your school work or are having any trouble at school, talk to your parents or someone you trust.
- Get to be early so you are rested and ready to learn.
- Have a healthy breakfast.
- Complete your homework.
Safe:
- Let your parents know where you are going and who you're with when leaving home.
- Talk to your parents about safety rules to follow if you are home alone.
- Remember to wear your helmet when riding your bike or roller blades.
