Overview:Using the basal readers, students will be asked to create written responses for comprehension and extended responses to literature using inferential reasoning, predicting, and gathering and interpreting information from the textbook and reference books. Note taking, independent reading, and story writing in addition to other assigned tasks, are included in the pilot. Creating adaptations for a handicapped student is part of the pilot.
