Overview:Quilting is an invaluable vehicle to develop mathematical awareness and to strengthen emerging mathematical skills, especially geometry, in young children. Quilting encourage children to experiment with their ideas as they develop problem solving skills. Beyond reinforcing mathematical skills, quilting experiences can be enriched by integrating children’s literature, social studies and science.
