HANDS ON SCIENCE :Experiencing Science Through Centers

Grade Level: Grade 1, 2 

Overview: In this unit children will discover through experimentation, the importance of science.  It is designed for first and second graders. Various literature genres will be shared to promote interest and peek curiosity.  Centers will be created for students to complete over time in the areas of animals, matter and astronomy (gr. 1) and plants/animals, energy, simple machines, magnetism and meteorology (gr. 2).  Other enrichment topics are also included.
