HANDS-ON MATH HOMEWORK KITS

Grade Level:  Grades 1-2 

Overview:  "Hands-on Homework" Math kits are designed and available for students to take home.  The students may work alone or with a "homework buddy" to complete each project.  The activities will be used to build on  the TrailBlazer  philosophy and to enhance communication between parents and the school.  Instructional materials will be sent home that reinforce mathematical concepts taught in school centering around  problem solving, communication, and content.  It is the intent of the team to develop one kit per month using activities from Trailblazers, Math Their way, Box-It, Bag-It and other teacher-made materials.
