“Class” – Does the Kingdom Really Have It? How the Animal Kingdom Has Impacted Our Lives

Overview:This interdisciplinary unit will investigate the animals common to our region and the role they have played in our culture. It will include instruction and/or research on the taxonomy of animals, animals native to our area, and how animals have become “major players” in traditional literature, both past and present. This is a multidisciplinary unit involving English, Reading, Math and Science, along with aspects of the Social Studies and Computer Technology curricular
